What is Art in the Barn?
Art in the Barn is a small non profit dedicated to bringing high quality visual and performing arts for people of all ages, in a serene and natural rural setting for life enriching experiences and pure enjoyment. Art in the Barn is a series of performances featuring local, national and international performers and visual artists. The series takes place in an 1870's restored barn in a rural setting outside of Madison,Wisconsin.
Can I bring a picnic?
Yes, we have a large picnic area and a few tables, feel free to enjoy a picnic dinner before the show, throw down a blanket and make yourself at home!
Do you sell food or alcohol?
No, Art in the Barn does not sell food or drinks. You are welcome to bring your own. We do have bottled water for the taking in the trough under the pine trees.
Can I reserve tickets?
Tickets are sold the day of the show, in some cases you can reserve a spot by emailing us in advance. Ticket sales start 45 minutes before each show.

Is it really a barn?
Yes, Art in the Barn is really in a barn, bring your own chairs or sit on the provided hay bales, but be prepared to enjoy a night in a real barn with old wood floors a few pigeons and lots of rustic charm.
What else should I bring?
Chairs, mosquito spray, a picnic dinner, cash or checks for your tickets and a great attitude ready to enjoy amazing music and art in an awesome setting.
Do you always feature an artist?
Yes, we try to feature at least on visual artist at each show as well. Come early to browse and be sure to support these local artists by purchasing some of the beautiful pieces they produce.
